Mountain Update – Friday 3 September @ 11:00am

The mild NW weather and rain has continued throughout yesterday & into today and has unfortunately depleted the lower mountain further to the point that we do not have a learners area, lift load area or lower T Bar line and no snow to rebuild it with. We realistically now need a substantial snowfall to bring things back to life and whilst there is some potential snow forecast perhaps later in the weekend / early next week there is too much uncertainty moving forward for both the Club & the staff team and we need to secure the wins we’ve had over the past few weeks and not erode finances.

We are therefore calling it a wrap for the 2026 season – another short one but so much more positive than last year and some great times and fun memories made.

A massive thanks to everyone that visited and supported Cheeseman through-out the past few weeks, we really appreciate it.

Also, a big shout out and thumbs up to our small staff crew, contractor team, Club members and volunteers who have put their heart & soul into the winter to deliver a safe, professional and enjoyable operation for everyone to enjoy.

Summer is just around the corner and we’ll be cranking back into our Lodge venue hire operations in October – watch this space for updates here soon.

Stay safe and all the best for the upcoming months ahead.

Regards

The Cheeseman Crew.
