Grader Operator / Road Operations

We are looking for a motivated individual to primarily operate our Champion 720a VHP grader on snow clearing duties, perform daily road checks, assist guests on the road with chain issues or who are stuck and generally look after the road and chain signage. The role also assists with mechanical repairs and breakdowns so a basic engineering or automotive background is essential. Experience at operating heavy machinery in the snow is an advantage. There is also chance to learn new skills such as operating snow groomers during the season. Early starts are the norm and must be prepared to work in all weather conditions.

Snow Safety Officer (1 Position Available)

We are seeking the services of a qualified Snow Safety Officer for the 2019 season (July September approx.) Applicants must have New Zealand Avalanche 2 or equal overseas qualification and have snow blasting experience and qualifications.

Short Order Cook & Stores Co-ordinator  (1 Position Available)

We require the services of a level headed person with the ability to prepare and cook 3 meals per day for up to 70 guests and an additional 15 staff at our busy Ski Lodge during the 2019 season (3 months July – September approx.) This position is also responsible for the ordering of all mountain stores which include food and cleaning supplies. The position is a key one within the operation and requires good organisational and communication skills along with previous cooking experience for large numbers.

Snow Sport Instructors – Ski / Board (2 Positions Available)

Must have NZSIA level one as minimum requirement (but preferably level 2) and minimum 1 seasons experience teaching / instructing within the ski industry locally or internationally. Good Communication skills, able to work in small team environment and have good clear spoken English are requirements

Cafe Full-Time (1 Position Available)

We have a full time position available during the season running our busy cafe where we sell coffee and prepared food. Barista training / experience is preferable.  You will be dealing directly with visitors / guests face to face and need to have a positive and personable attitude.
