Snow Safety Officer (1 Position Available)

We are seeking the services of a qualified Snow Safety Officer for the 2018 season (July September approx.) Applicants must have New Zealand Avalanche 2 or equal overseas qualification and have snow blasting experience and qualifications.

Ski Patroller (2 Positions Available)

We have 1 position available for an experienced patroller with a minimum of 2 seasons in the ski industry and Pre-Hospital Emergency Care qualification. Ideally candidates will have successfully completed Avalanche 1 course (or equal overseas qualification) and will have snow blasting experience.  The role includes (but limited to) general ski patrol work, assisting Snow Safety Officer with snow safety programme, running the ski area lifts and assisting with setting up the field for events

Short Order Cook & Stores Co-ordinator  (1 Position Available)

We require the services of a level headed person with the ability to prepare and cook 3 meals per day for up to 70 guests and an additional 15 staff at our busy Ski Lodge during the 2017 season (3 months July – September approx.) This position is also responsible for the ordering of all mountain stores which include food and cleaning supplies. The position is a key one within the operation and requires good organisational and communication skills along with previous cooking experience for large numbers.

Lodge & Guest Manager  (1 Position available)

We require the services of a level headed person who is customer focused and has an eye for detail. You will be responsible for the overall smooth running of Snowline Lodge and its guests (up to 80) and involves managing our online booking system, meeting / greeting guests, answering questions and in general being the first point of call for guests. This position will be full-time during the busy months of July & August and September work will be by negotiation

Ski Instructors (2 Positions Available)

Must have NZSIA level one as minimum requirement (but preferably level 2) and minimum 1 seasons experience teaching / instructing within the ski industry.

Ticket Office(1 Position Available)

You will be dealing directly with visitors / guests face to face in the busy ticket office using a POS based ticketing application along with answering all general enquries via phone, email and other social media.  We are looking for a level headed person who is well organised and friendly and must be a team player.

Ticket Office / Cafe Floater (1 Position Available)

Time will be spent between both departments as required. You will be dealing directly with visitors / guests face to face in the ticket office and Cafe and using a POS based ticketing application  We are looking for a level headed person who is well organised and friendly and must be a team player. Barista training an advantage

Cafe Full-Time (1 Position Available)

We have a full time position available during the season running our busy cafe where we sell coffee and prepared food. Barista training / experience is preferable.  You will be dealing directly with visitors / guests face to face and need to have a positive and personable attitude.

Rental / Hire Department (1 Position Available)

We need to fill a full-time position during the season within the Rental Department and are looking for a passionate person to run our small but busy rental department. Ideally you will have had previous experience although training can be given to someone who knows their way around ski’s and snowboards. You will be dealing one on one with clients so need a friendly and positive attitude along with a non-flustered approach to sometimes busy periods. You will also be required to help out in other areas of the operation as your skills dictate.

Grader Operator / Road Supervisor / Mechanic ( 1 Position Available)

We are looking for someone with Grader experience – we have a Champion 720a VHP grader also fitted with front mounted snow plough blade. Preferably you will have operated a machine in snow clearing operations / mountain environment although training is available. The role also involves daily road inspections (sometimes several a day), assisting clients who may run into bother on the access road either by getting stuck or with chain issues. We would also like someone with some mechanical aptitude who can help with general servicing and light repairs as they arise.
