School Holidays At Cheeseman

School holidays are underway and its great to see heaps of children up here enjoying themselves and making the most of the great snow conditions!

Holiday 1 Ski Week is packed out up here at Snowline Lodge and although there was a delayed start with bad weather on Sunday & Monday we’ve certainly made up for that with heaps of skiing and riding over the past 3 days. Holiday 2 Ski Week which starts this coming Sunday is also fully booked out and we are looking forward to welcoming new guests in to share the Cheeseman experience with us.

Last Saturday the Chill Gromfest race series kicked off at Cheeseman. We had around 35 grom’s who turned out to race in perfect snow and weather conditions. A number of children from Wellington who were on “International” Ski Week joined in and had a ball. Thanks to Stu & the team at Chill who came up to run the event and man the BBQ.

This coming weekend we are running the Snowride & Cheapskates Skier / Border Cross. Come on up and race your mates down our professionally custom built Border Cross track – fun for all ages. The race starts at 11am and there will be a chance for a warm-up from 10am. More details below.

In an effort to give a better representation of upper mountain snow conditions we are underway with construction of a 2nd webcam. This will be located at Lunch Rock adjacent to Tower 5 and will show just how good the upper mountain snow coverage really is! We hope to have this installed and running within a couple of weeks – keep an eye out on our Webcam page
