Winter is back!
A total transformation occurred over the space of a few hours during Wednesday night / Thursday morning going from a very spring looking ski field to a winter wonderland once more! Thursday dawned with skies clearing and turned into a bluebird pow day – plenty of face shots were enjoyed by all. If ever there was a time to get up here its certainly now or over the weekend with a settled forecast for the next few days.
This Sunday we are looking forward to running the Canterbury Primary & Intermediate school races and the weather is looking good – more details below.
Some photos below of the new snow – pictures say it better that words!

We are pleased to again be the venue for the Canterbury Primary and Intermediate Ski races, an event where teams representing their schools participate for both individual and team awards.
This fun skiing event consists of dual slalom course for boys and girls of all age groups from Year 1 to Year 8. No previous ski-racing experience is necessary, merely sufficient skill to ride a T-bar Ski Lift and ski groomed, easy slopes.
There will be medals for individual performance, plus an overall team trophy for both primary and intermediate school teams. The emphasis is on fun, and introducing children to the excitement of ski-racing. Most of the children’s time will be spent just skiing freely and enjoying other activities on the day.
Entries are now closed for this event. For further info on this event Click Here
Please be sure to check in on the day for current road, weather & snow conditions.
The next few days are looking like cracker weather days. Clear and crisp so wrap up warm and make sure you put on some sunscreen.
