The following position/s are available for the 2017 season:
Grader Operator / Mechanic
We are looking for a motivated individual to primarily operate of our Champion 720a VHP grader on snow clearing duties. Experience at operating heavy machinery in the snow is an advantage. There is a
chance to learn new skills such as operating snow groomers during the season. Ideally we would prefer someone who can also carry out light maintenance and repairs as required as this will be part of the role when not operating the grader. Other duties will include Road inspections / patrol, and road maintenance along with a wide variety of other practical based work.
Short Order Cook & Stores Co-ordinator
We require the services of a level headed person with the ability to prepare and cook 3 meals
per day for up to 70 guests and an additional 15 staff at our busy Ski Lodge during the 2017
Season (3 months July – September approx.)
This position is also responsible for the ordering of all mountain stores which include food and
cleaning supplies. The position is a key one within the operation and requires good organisational and
communication skills along with previous cooking experience for large numbers.
Snow Safety Officer
We are seeking the services of a qualified Snow Safety Officer for the 2015 season (July September approx.) Applicants must have New Zealand Avalanche 2 or equal overseas qualification and have snow blasting experience and qualifications.
This is a full time position during the winter season with accommodation and meals provided as part of the package.
Lodge & Guest Manager
Full-time July & August with part-time work during September
This position is responsible for overseeing and managing our busy accommodation operations at both Forest Lodge and Snowline Lodge. The position is based at Snowline Lodge where there is direct contact with guests who are staying either on ski weeks or casually. The position is also responsible for all enquiries and managing our booking software. Working in the ticket office will also be part of this position as required and there is a very close link required with other staff such as the cook etc. You will need to have excellent communication skills and be friendly and approachable to the guests.
Ticket Office (1 position available)
You will be dealing directly with visitors guests face to face in the ticket office and using a POS based ticketing application to sell lift tickets and other on-mountain packages with include rental and lessons. The role involves other administration aspects including answering telephones and emails. We are looking for a level headed person who is well organised and friendly and must be a team player.
