We are Open

Well the great news is that we are open and despite the challenging weather last Saturday we opened on time for the 2013 season! Friday night saw the arrival of new snow and this continued over the weekend on & off. Monday dawned as a clear and crisp bluebird day and we had another top-up of snow Tuesday night. Thanks to everyone who braved the windy weather conditions over the weekend to enjoy opening weekend with us and those who stayed Saturday night at Snowline Lodge enjoyed a fantastic opening party!

Our first Ski week of the season kicked off on Sunday night – “International Week” and guests, including lots of children, have had an awesome time. The kids who started out on the learners area on Monday have quickly progressed up the Main T Bar thanks to the help and expertise of our instructor team. The school holidays kick off this Saturday and the following 2 Ski Weeks at Snowline Lodge are fully booked so here’s hoping for some more snow and bluebird days!

Today the sun is shining and everyone is having a ball, tomorrow looks okay earlier in the day and there is a chance of some more snow over the weekend as freezing levels drop to around 1000 – 1200 metres – see the weather report below.

Don’t forget this Saturday is our first events for the season – Chill Gromfest. The following weekend we are running the Snowride & Cheapskate Skier / Border Cross – more info below.
