Cheeseman is OPEN to Ski weekers & Club Members
Well it's been a slow start to the season opening this winter! Our scheduled opening was Saturday 3rd of July but with very light coverage on the lower slopes we decided to open to Ski week visitors and now to members until further snow arrives. Several snow falls have been forecast but they have all seemed to slip us by or never materialise. Everyone has their fingers crossed that snow forecast for later today / tonight will provide the much needed top-up we need so we can fully open to the public.
Over the past 2 weeks Ski week guests on Holiday 1 & Holiday 2 have had a great time on the mountain. Ski weekers and members have had the slopes all to themselves with great snow conditions on the upper field, stunning weather, and awesome company. Our ski weeks are proving popular again this year and there are limited spaces available on the premium July and August weeks so book in now to secure a space.

Pre-season Upper Mountain snow Early July Top of the Main Tow - Blue skies and great snow
The pictures above show the good upper mountain coverage and reports from skiers today say that there is still great skiing and riding over much of the upper mountain including Cockayne and A basin. A loading area has been created at Tower 5 to allow good loading access on the Main T Bar, access down off the mountain is via the upper Cat Track or the A Basin Track. Despite the light snow coverage our leaners area is in great shape and we have our beginners packages available for those who are thinking about learning to ski or board.
So if your a club member please come on up this weekend and hit the slopes with us. Accommodation is available at either Snowline or Forest Lodges - please call the mountain office to book in 03 318-8794. All facilities are open including Cockayne Cafe, Ski Hire, and Ski school.
As soon as we receive enough snow we will open to the public and this will be announced via the website, snowphone and other media available to us so in the meantime think SNOW!
