Snow Update
For those of you who made it up the mountain on Monday it was a spectacular day with great weather and the new snow to enjoy. Here's a quote from a skier who was there:
“Heaven can't be any better than this What a day a few lucky people had on Monday at Mt Cheeseman, Acres of superb snow, a magnificent day and conditions that made for some superb skiing. The sun finally went down at 5.45pm as we prised ourselves off the day lodge deck and headed home. So, where were you? As Oprah Winfrey said: “The best of times is now.”
A little top up of snow is forecast for late Friday afternoon / evening with a clear day on Saturday, so come on up and enjoy the final days of 2010.
Open For Holidays
We have extended our closing date until the 10th October to take in the final week of the school holidays and give everyone a chance to have a enjoy a few more days skiing & riding after the long period of bad weather which is now settling down again. We will be running the tows only next week (see more info below) and the weather is looking promising for a few more good days on the slopes. Be sure to check the Snow report at www.mtcheeseman.co.nz or call the CSA Snowphone 383-8888 Option 02 before leaving town and always carry your chains just in case.
Accommodation & Ski Weeks
This week and weekend is your last chance to stay on the mountain at Snowline Lodge as we will only be running lifts from Monday 4th through next week. The Daylodge, Cafe & Ski Hire will remain in operation along with lessons. There is a chance if there is enough interest that we will open Snowline Lodge on Saturday night (9th) of closing weekend for members to stay but it will be self cater. So this coming weekend is really your last chance to stay on the mountain with our great dinner bed and breakfast packages and with the weather looking good why wouldn't you?

Club Champs
With great regret we have decided to cancel the Club Champs this year. After several postponements due to bad weather and given how late it is in the season with many members away for school holidays it was felt this was the best option. We have put the Club Champs on the top of our events Calendar next year and its scheduled to be run on weekend two (9th & 10th July) of 2011. We will be running Dynastar / CHILL Gromfest this coming Saturday so if there are kids still keen to race please come on up for this event I'm told there are some great prizes up for grabs - details on this race are above.
Summer
As the winter season draws to a close everyone is starting to think of summer activities, boating, sports, gardening, outdoor activities etc. This summer we will again be opening up our facilities and the surrounding Castle Hill basin (& beyond) has many easily accessible outdoor activities including, world class rock climbing and bouldering at Castle Hill, caving adventures through cave stream, mountain biking and downhill riding, hiking, natures walks and orienteering.

For group accommodation Forest Lodge is ideal and is a great place to base yourself from for the variety of activities in the area. So if you or friends are thinking of organising a group get-away please Contact Us by email or call the office on 03 344-3247 for more info.
