What's Great At Mt Cheeseman

With great beginner, intermediate and advanced slopes, Cheeseman
is perfect for learners and all the family. Two T-Bars give easy access
to well groomed slopes and exciting off-piste terrain. The Learners
Tow is located right beside the Daylodge which serves awesome
coffee, delicious food and is fully licensed. You can choose to stay up on the
mountain  in Snowline Lodge or alternatively in Forest Lodge, nestled in the
beech forest and located 6km from SH73 along our access road.

Gromfest - 18th & 19th September
Downhill Dual Racing, Ski & Snow board event

  The CHILL Gromfest Series is proudly sponsored by Dynastar and provides a great opportunity for all young skiers and snowboarders to meet other like minded individuals and compete in a fun and free Competition - free entry to all Grommets aged 6 to 15. There will be awesome prizes up for grabs from Dynastar, CHILL + more.

The first races in this series was held on the 24th & 25th July with the 2nd round to held at Roundhill on the 11th & 12th September. Cheeseman is the venue for the 3rd and final round on the 18th & 19th September.

Club Champs 12th September

Course briefing: 9:00am
Registration: From 9:00am in the Daylodge (no registration fee)
Race Start: 9:30am Downhill race followed by Slalom, GS & Dogtucker (N.B. format of later races may vary on the day.
Course Inspection: 30 minutes before each race as times allows - side slipping only
Racing: 2 runs/person/course as time and weather conditions allow
Best Time: The best run time (best of 2) will be chosen for each person on each course
Missed Gates: If a gate is missed, the run will be disqualified
Dogtucker: 50 year olds and over
Prizegiving: 3.30pm in the Day lodge (or as notified on race day)

Tarn Rope Tow Project

 

The rumours are true - Cheeseman Ski Area is to put not one but two tows into Tarn Basin. Planning for this exciting project has got underway with a view to having the tows running for the 2012 season
